Establishing a trust for your assets is a proven, effective strategy for avoiding putting your estate through the probate upon your death. A living trust allows you to place your assets under control of the trust to avoid taxes on the value of the estate, while also giving you control over how you want the trust to distribute the assets to beneficiaries, while you are alive and/or upon your death.

What Are Irrevocable and Revocable Trusts
An irrevocable trust simply means that you turn your assets over to the trust, to be administered by a trustee you name. The assets leave your control forever and are, therefore, no longer taxed on their value or earnings. The trust pays taxes on any investment earnings.
A revocable trust does not fully remove the assets from the control of the estate holder. The trust may be revoked and the assets reclaimed as personal holdings at any time. The value of the assets and earnings, therefore, is taxed as income or capital gains.
When you meet with us to discuss your financial circumstances and long-term goals, we will explain the process and what type of trust will best fit your family's needs. Call our Bellevue And Seattle Trust Attorney today and arrange a consultation.

Client Testimonial:
"I found Alerian Hall online. I chose her primarily because her fees were low-- so I wasn't expecting miracles. However, Alerian Hall did a fantastic job preparing the estate planning documents for our family- she was knowledgeable, honest, comprehensive, and so nice. She even helped me with updating my beneficiary designations forms- and this was AFTER we'd finished the legal documents and paid her. Don't look farther if you need wills and such. "
